Blossom Days on Old Mission Peninsula

Old Mission winemakers invite you to their tasting rooms for a sample of unreleased wines! Barrel and Reserve wines are showcased in addition to each winery’s standard tasting list. The $30 ticket price includes a souvenir glass* and tasting at all seven Old Mission wineries. Enjoy the beauty of the blossoms and a weekend on Old Mission Peninsula!

Award-winning wineries from across the state of Michigan will be on hand showcasing more than 100 varieties of wine including, Riesling, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet and others.

“I am excitedly anticipating the MIS wine fest,” said Liz Berger, president of the Michigan Wine Foundation and Operations Manager at Chateau Chantal Winery in Traverse City, Mich. “This will be a great venue in which to offer the public a taste of all the great wineries and breweries in Michigan. People will be able to meet the wine makers and brewers, learn about our Michigan grown and crafted beverages, and mostly have a great time. Michigan has been lacking a festival that represents the entire state, but this centrally located, top- notch facility will be able to offer an unmatchable summer festival.

Leland Wine & Food Festival – June 9, 2012

The Leland Wine & Food Festival is a northern Michigan tradition held on the second Saturday in June (June 9, 2012). Noon til 6pm.

Come enjoy a day near the Leland Harbor and Leland's historic Fishtown tasting wines from local wineries and tasting the specialties from local restaurants and vendors.

Listen to live music in the park all day and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands.

Admission is $15 and includes an etched wine glass and two tickets for wine tasting. Additional wine tasting tickets are available.

The Rotary Club of Traverse City is hosting the 1st Annual Grand Traverse Region New Release Wine Tasting.
This event will raise funds for Polio Plus, Rotary International's progam to end polio worldwide, and highlight the region's finest wines to be released in 2012. Over 17 wineries from the Leelanau and Old Mission peninsulas will participate, each showcasing three to five newly released wines.

Attendees will taste these great new-release wines, meet winery representatives, participate in an exciting live auction and share in raising funds for a valuable cause. The $25 ticket provides admission, ten tasting tickets, appetizers, and participation in the auction. Additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase. All wines on display will be available for purchase at a discount.

Partnering with Rotary are the Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula (WOMP), the Leelanau Peninsula Vintner's Association (LPVA), and the Blue Goat Wine Shop.

Must be 21 years of age or older to attend.

All sales are final and non-refundable.

Will call tickets will be available to pick up at the Hagerty Center beginning 30 minutes prior to the event.

A Tapas Tour experience consists of a tour of the winery that winds through the vineyard and cellar as the winemaking process is explained from vine to wine. It concludes with our tapas-style exploration of wine and food pairing. We aim to satisfy your appetite for wine knowledge as well as for tapas! Please bring an eager palate, an inquisitive mind, and a light jacket to wear as we venture through the cool cellar.
