Sensory Tours

More wine and higher value, this new tour touches all five of your senses and will prove to enlighten your palate, your spirit, and your mind. You will enjoy learning how your environment can make your love and passion for Chateau Chantal wine even better!

In addition to your sit-down tasting focusing on how wine interacts with your senses, your specialized tour guide will lead you through our vineyard, cellar, and winemaking process. Once in the cellar, you'll enjoy 5 small-bite food and wine pairings designed to treat your taste buds.

Starting this June, tours run daily at 12:30. Visit our tasting room before or after your tour for a lunch pairing, the Sensory Treat Tour is a compliment to a meal, not a meal in itself. Only 20 spots per tour so book yours before it is too late! Tickets are $29 per person. Call 1-800-969-4009 to book or reserve online.

June, Starting June 15: Wednesday & Saturday Evenings

July & August: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday Evenings

Sept & October:  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Evenings

May 13 - Mother's Day Dinner

A winery tour kicks off the evening at 6pm, with dinner seating at 6:30. Reservations are required at least a day in advance and can be made by calling 1-800-969-4009 or booking online. Payment is taken at time of booking.  Cancelations accepted up to 3 days prior to reservation for full refund.

Enjoy a beautifully and elegant multi-course meal, each course perfectly paired with a Chateau Chantal wine and prepared in-house.

Who is the Winemaker?
Mark Johnson has been the winemaker at Chateau Chantal since we opened.  Trained at the Geisenheim Research Institue in Germany, Mark has a dedicated passion for making classic cool climate wines from Northern Michigan.  He also spends his time in Argentina, making our Malbec red wine from our vineyard in Mendoza. 

How long has Chateau Chantal been open?
Chateau Chantal, a Michigan winery, planted their first vines in 1986 and opened the original building in 1993. In July of 2003, an expansion was completed bringing the total B&B units from three to eleven with the addition of a 2,000 square foot Hospitality Room.
