Tapas Tour - Offered Mid-June - Labor Day

The Chateau Chantal Tapas Tour is a unique experience at the winery that consists of an extensive and enlightening tour of the vineyard and winery, as well as a tapas-style offering of small plates paired with our own Chantal wines.  Tapas Tour at Chateau Chantal in Traverse City, Michigan

Tours are led by our experienced guides who will walk guests through the winemaking process from vine to wine, and lead them through an exploration of the intricacies of wine and food pairing. More in-depth than the standard winery tour, Tapas allows the guest to gain vineyard, winemaking, and wine tasting knowledge that they can use to help make wise wine purchasing decisions in the future. This experience is the perfect opportunity for Chateau Chantal to continue the connection we make on a daily basis between food and wine.

Tapas Tours start June 14th and run daily through Labor Day. Tours begins at 12:30 and lasts two hours. Tours will contain no more than 25 guests to ensure a warm and personal experience, and reservations are required at least 1 day in advance. Call us at 1-800-969-4009 or book online for reservations. The cost is $28 per person. Guests are asked to bring an eager palate, an inquisitive mind, and a light jacket to wear as the tour ventures through the cool cellar.

Terrace Tapas

New on offer this year is "Terrace Tapas," a smaller version of our Tapas Tours without the 2-hour commitment. We have specially paired small bites of food to go with four wine samples.

Two ways to have a Terrace Tapas experience:
1. Purchase here online or call ahead to book a Terrace Tapas; we’ll get your date & approximate arrival time then have your box ready for pick-up from the cooler.

2. Impromptu! Check the cooler, we’ll make a few extra each day.

A winery tour kicks off the evening at 6pm, with dinner seating at 6:30. The price is $69 per person, inclusive of tax, gratuity and wine. Reservations are required at least a day in advance and can be made by calling 1-800-969-4009 or booking online. Payment is taken at time of booking.  Cancelations accepted up to 3 days prior to reservation for full refund.

Enjoy a beautifully and elegant multi-course meal, each course perfectly paired with a Chateau Chantal wine and prepared in-house by Chef Les Hagaman.

Enhanced Tour and Tasting

For those interested in something a little more special than the average tour and tasting, Chateau Chantal offers The Enhanced Tour and Tasting. All enhanced tours must be at least two hours long. A wine educator will MC the event and offer an intimate, in-depth education on the winemaking process from bud-break to bottle. These tours offer 3 choices:

Option A: This tour and tasting is offered with cheese and bread. Prices for this tour start at $15 per person, minimum of 20 people.

Option B: This tour is offered with hot appetizers. This tour starts at $28 per person, minimum of 25 people.

Option C: Wine Dinner, pricing dependent on number of people in group, minimums apply.
