Tasting Room Hours

Chateau Chantal is open daily, year round. Complimentary wine tastings are held in the Chateau's grWinemaker Mark Johnsoneat room or in the wine cellar.

June 3 thru August: Monday-Saturday 11am-8pm Sunday 11am-6pm
September 6 thru October 31: Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm Sunday 11am-6pm
November thru early June: Monday-Saturday 11am-5pm Sunday 11am-5pm
Closed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday*.

*Please call for eve of hours, i.e. Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, Good Friday, etc. 1-800-969-4009.

We will be open Dec 24 11am-4pm, and Dec 31 11am-6pm in 2011.

Jazz at Sunset

Every Thursday evening Mid June - August we offer a free evening of Jazz with the Jeff Haas Trio and his special guests.  7pm-9:30pm.  Families welcome, no RSVP required.  Wine tasting available during break, coffee, tea, and lemonade available free of charge during performance.

Winery Tours


We offer cellar tours during the summer months: June 15 - Labor Day on the hour at 1, 2, & 3 p.m. If you have a large group and would like to schedule a tour at a different time, please call us at 1.800.969.4009.

Tapas Tours & Wine Dinners

From mid-June through Labor day we host daily Tapas Tours from 12:30-2:30.  Wine dinners are offered here at the winery on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings mid June-Labor day and Wednesday and Friday evenings September-October.  Learn more about these fun events here.

Directions
We're an easy drive north, in one of the most scenic and historic areas of the Great Lakes. A 65-acre estate, located high atop a ridge on the Old Mission Peninsula. Located 12 miles north of Traverse City on M-37 (Center Rd.)

From the Detroit area:                                                                                                                                                                  
Take I-75 North                                                                                                                                                  
Turn left on M-72, follow to US 31/M-72
Turn left on US 31 toward Traverse City for 6 miles
Turn right onto M-37/Garfield Ave. Follow M-37 for 12 miles
We are on the right hand side of M-37, 1 mile past Mapleton

From Grand Rapids:
Take US 131-North toward Cadillac
After the highway ends past Cadillac, turn left onto MI-113 toward Traverse City
Turn right onto Garfield Rd/Brownson Ave/CR-611 in the village of Kingsley
Garfield Rd/Brownson Ave/CR-611 becomes Garfield Ave. in Traverse City
Follow Garfield through Traverse City, S. Garfield becomes M-37
Take M-37 12 miles out on Old Mission Peninsula. We are on the right hand side, 1 mile past Mapleton.
